Try this:
find the fuse for the dash lights.
get a 12V feed from the output of your parkers/headlights.
stick the 12V feed wire onto the output leg of the fuse for the dash lights.
look at your dash lights & see if they come on with your headlights.
if it works then make it permanent, but don't forget to put a fuse in-line.

i tried connecting a live wire to the dash light wire and it burnt my f****** finger.... the wire got really hot that there was a bit of smoke ...
Light globes don't suck that much current -- you've got bigger probs with your dash lights.
Time to take the guage cluster out.
I'd say this was probably the root of the prob with the parkers too.
Did anyone confirm/disprove my theory that the parkers and dash lights share the same fuse??

yes i checked the little switch. it never worked so i tapped a line out of the low beam and hooked it up to the two red/black wires from the dimmer plug and the dash lights worked.(only on low beam though)
but after i hooked up the parkers the dash lights stopped working... it was stressin me out..
I have a feelin that we are gettin closer in solving this problem
