give me a couple of days to find it shane. i downloaded a kit that showed all the stickers required for racing and their size and colours.. i dont have my portable HDD with me today and will look as soon as i get home.

cheers.

here are the required ERG Competition required stickers anyway. .they cost about $7 in aus.. usually all the good race stuff comes from Speedzone.

i believe that the lightening bolt shows where the battery cutoff switch is and the blue triangle shows where the battery is..

you can also get these in Magnetic strips 9like magnetic 'L' plates) so you can take then off when on the track.

The biggest they make is 200A (which I've got) and if it's not big enough I will run 2 holders in parrallell with 2 x 150A.
Here's a pic of the holder:

And here's one of the fuses:

You can see the little window in the middle of it, that's where you can see the element and tell whether or not it's blown.

If anyone wants them cheap, I might be able to get some wholesale.
hey have u been to my house and taking pics of my gear :)

Hi
I relocated my batt to the boot using a 4awg wire and a 200 amp anl fuse as close as possible to the batt
For 3 reasons
1. Space for my turbo
2. Slightly better front/rear weight balance
3. Closer to my amp rack
I can take some pics if you need them
Peace

Cheers

I'll be back at work Monday, I'll see what I've got there.
Otherwise I'll get some prices, coz all my catalogues are at work too......

Blue triangle

Post by Callumgw »

Hey Guys,

I think the Blue Triangle is an equilateral with sides measuring 150mm. I'll try to remember to check at home tonight in the CAMS manual. And yes the lightening bolt indicates the location of the battery cut off switch.

Blue triangle

Post by Callumgw »

Check the CAMS manual last night:

From Schedule B - Vehicles used for speed events (and higher):

14. have, on the external coachwork, a blue triangle of sides 150mm, which indicates the position of the battery; and . . . .

Parts

Post by Callumgw »

HI Ben,

When I need Auto Elec things that are beyond Jaycar I direct to the wholesalers, in Vic one is:

Ingram Corporation Pty Ltd
93 - 99 Lambeck Drv
Tullamarine VIC 3043
(03) 9926-1890

Another:
Ashdown Enterprises (Wholesale) Pty Ltd
14 Ovata Drv
Tullamarine VIC 3043
(03) 9330-0900

These guys are good 'cause you can buy all the bits the AutoElects get, like brushes, alternator rebuild kits, etc... I'm sure there will be the same type of companies in Adelaide. Maybe MotorTraders will have some?

Callumgw thats for that tid bit of info, that is very very helpfull to me as i'm a die hard DIYer and my philosophy of not paying for something i can do myself always cost me more time and money , but the smile on my face when the car starts is aways grand. Many thanks for the info, i'll give them a call and sort some parts out. once again. many thanks.

If it helps at all,

Ive had my battery in the boot for some months now, on a 140a breaker most probably from jaycar im not sure. However, it has only tripped once, twice at the most and that was just when I was starting my engine for the first time. Since then, not a problem starter motor cant trip it. Hope this helps.

Yep:

0 -2 Guage ANL In line (like the pic i posted up)
$22.50
ANL Fuses (80A, 100A, 150A, 200A)
$12.50

Circuit Breakers (70A, 100A, 140A)
$30.50
Silicon boot to suit:
$5

Everything is gold plated.
Postage will also be at the buyers expense. But it won't be much.

I can also get Fused & Unfused distribution blocks, Distribution blocks with built in voltmeters and LED fuse indicators, gold plated battery terminals, power terminals, amp wiring kits, and most other swanky auto electrical stuff.

**NOTE: I'm not making anything out of this, you get it for what I get for, plus postage.
