Turbo model question !

Post by toprpm »

Hi, when i got my Et 2 years ago there was a turbo in the boot . Garrett AR.48 , M24 was engraved on it... its got the t2 flange(bigger than the T2), and looks like its leaking oil....

Can any turbo expert out there tell me what kind of turbo it is. WHat car it came out originally, is itr safe to use that turbo in the ET and a cheap place in Brisbane to get it rebuilt ...

thanx for takin time to read this...

It should just work straight up, but you might have to rotate the housing depending what it was on before.

figure between $300 and $500 for a rebuild depending on the damage. if its just seals and bearings then it may be cheap. If it needs a new shaft and turbine, figure some more $$'s..

also check out the general tech and modification section for my writeup on stalling a T25G onto the E15ET motor. its the same procedure for the T25.

good luck.
