Yeah, what specs on oil is everyone using? Example: 25W-60 etc?

Love to know that.

20w-60
I understand the need for conformity. Without a concise set of rules to follow we would probably all have to resort to common sense.

25w is the viscosity of the oil. W meaning Winter
oil cant change thickness itself, so it uses these little polymer thingys to change thickness

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engine_oil

have a read of that under Multi-grade oils

Ive tried a lot of different oils.

I like to run full synthetics.

Ive tried them all apart from Shell.

i gotta say that Castrol Edge 0-30 or the 5w-40 is the gun gear.

Everything else seems to result in fuming and excessive oil consumption. remember my turbos are relatively tired and the difference in fuming using the Castrol stuff is staggering.

I have absolutely no explaination for this. All I know is that the Castrol full synthetics seem to work well in turbo engines.
As an aside, I use the stuff in my VW race engines.
