Some suspension shops specialise in rebuilding/ revalving shocks, here in Brisbane I had mine done by http://www.wwshockabsorbers.com.au/

There should be someone down your way that can do the same.

STIFF SHOCKS

Post by MICK »

hey dede i just have gone through this dramer i ended up buying knoi rear shocks ther adjustable and n12s are hard to get shocks for so there out of a vl and there 32mm shorter which is good cos it traps the spring better and there rated for a 1400kg car so there stuff ass and the same in the frount just incerts to suit a n12

Is it the fronts or the rears that are out of a VL???

He fitted plain Koni shock out of a VL M8, nothing too serious.
Proven Products are the long time Koni distributers located in Albury/Woodonga

If you want coilovers on the rear, which in my view, are a WOFTAM, ill make them for you.
It takes about 1/2 hour and a couple of hundred dollars to do but you might have dramas fitting your wheels later on and repositionong the shock will be quite a bitch LOL.

Boys, check out my post regarding having two full, brand new-old stock, sets of Koni Adjustables for the ET for sale

No hassles, no fuss that way :)

dont forget about bilstein! I was quoted just over $300 for pair of rears to suit my skyline. And had custom ones made up for our Patrol which wasnt that much more expensive.

I went through WA Suspensions and they listed all the types they could get for the Pulsar n12's and they were extremely limited and Bilstein, was definitely not one of them coz failing getting Konis, i wouldnve gone the next best
I was that desperate to have my ET handle the best it possibly could- after going all out in every other aspect of it- that i was offering to buy my mates used koni adjustables for more than the brand new price and he still didnt want to do it.

Ben, hows things mate, gettin back online more lately after shoulder surgery so will also chat more on msn with ya, but you're just chasing the rears?
What have you done with the fronts? Theres nothing worse than having a car unbalanced by diff performing shocks, and diff setups front and rear. Best to go one brand all round. That way its piece of mind in many ways and much easier to setup the stiffness etc of front and rear.
