Perfect upgrade, you don't need to do anything. I think they just misprinted the specs when they made the E15ET - it should have a T25 as standard!

On a related topic, I just had my heavy duty clutch replaced with a standard one. I also have a T25 to put on and will be hoping to run an intercooled 9psi.
Will the standard clutch handle this ok?

Thanks for your time

Depends on the condition of the std clutch.
Why the down grade?

I'm yet to experience my brass button......came with the RRC engine and box. I may end up doing exactly the same downgrade!

yeah heavy duty clutches in these are pointless... you break things rather then get the desired effect...

I totally disagree. The stock clutch will end up slipping with a t25 on 12psi pretty quickly. That's at least what I found. The replacement HD NPC clutch is no heavier on the pedal that the stock one. So it won't stretch cables and bend pedals.

Id say you were unlucky M8, or had some setup issue.
I use a smaller 180mm clutch from an NA I had made, lighter than stock pedal and it hasnt slipped since it was installed no matter what i do with it.

i have an Exedy HD clutch and never had problems with anything bending and breaking. and it's only a little heavier in feel than a standard clutch and has never slipped! i was driving my et on 19psi for a while and just gripped and went! the standard clutch is pretty fragile.

Just saw my mechanic and it is slightly heavier than the standard one - still feels like the clutch in my grandmother's 72 Mazda 323 though.
The down-grade wasn't intentional. I had the ring gear done so they did the clutch too and the sump gasket.
I am tired of forking out for mechanical work - $1,200 for the job! Insane.

What TF?
They just went ahead and changed the clutch because the ring gear was dodgey and grinding???
I sincerely hope that was not the case.

NPC seem to have redesigned their heavy duty n12 turbo clutches. I bought one about.... 10 months ago, it was cheaper than the old design, its tough (ive had zero problems) and its the same pressure under ur foot as the stock clutch.

something definitely worth investing in IMO.

Stock clutches are shit. thats all there is to it. i shall scout around for a new vs old pic that i took when ryan swapped my clutch.

I went from a t2 to a t25G and i havent had to upgrade anything. As long as u keep boost below 10 psi, you should be ok but be warned that you may have head gasket problems if you ignore this.
With a clunk and a bang and a bit of a stutter, I'll eventually make it to the carwash.

heavy duty is too hard on the old foot??? you lot must be big girls.
when i originally got my white ET , it had a heavy duty clutch in it, and it was just like driving a standard one.
