REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF N12 TOTAL DASH: [b]query![/b]

hey has anybody here REMOVED AND OR REPLACED THERE DASH AS IN REMOVED THE WHOLE THING AND PUT IT BACK IN??

i jst need to know is there anything to watch out for eg, how to put digital clock back in/on and the air condition ducting??????

ive got a 84 model n12 with digital clock and air con......

any info would be much appreciated!!!!![/u]

from what i can remmeber when i pulled mine out, its pretty straight foward, easy to bold of, and everything else just un plugs. i dont think theres anyting you have to watch out for.
may i ask why your a pulling your dash off.

well my dash has cracks on it on the passenger side where its got that soft part!!!

and ive purchased a totally near new immaculate dash without any cracks what so ever and would like my car to be more immaculate internally!!!

so yeh keep the suggestions and idea's and info coming!!!

Well its dodgy... but a lot easier than the whole thing... but you can like tear that soft bit off just where it attaches and then glue it in with some tough shit glue.. worked fine for me and like a million times easier than taking out a dash!!!! or i think it screws in somewhere from behind??

took mine out last w/end. I forget how many bolts (10 or 12)
Take your steering wheel off.
just to be safe, take your indicator and wiper arms off.
take the knobs off your fan controls.
umm....... now kinda wiggle it till it starts coming forward.
now you've gotta squeeze your hand behind and unplug the clock.
now it should just kinda fall out...... requires a little jiggling around though.

If you want, tomorrow I'll count the bolts and there approx positions.

yes plase count how many and try n tell me where!!!

i really appreciate it renegade!!!

all the info would be great as in how hard it is to re-connect the ducting for air conditioning etc....

I'll count 'em all this arvo after work.

The ducting -> not hard, just a pain in the ass.
