how did you know you had a crack in the head? is a cracked head repairable or will it be easier for me to throw another head on which i have. i dont even know the situation with the head yet as i havent taken it off. still driving around here and there. tommorow i go in for a roadworthy. then once i have that and rego transfer sorted i will pull the head off.

If i were you i would just find a new head. Should be able to pick one up for $50. Get it all ported out before you stick it back on.

i didnt know if it was cracked! i had milky oil and presumed it was my gasket but when i took the head off the gasket was perfectly fine so i took it to a place that specialises in head and i left it with him and he called me a day later and said one of the water journals was cracked so they fixe dit for me by drilling it out and re-welding it! as well as a full re-co of head!!!

total $300!!!! damn....

i took the car for a roadworthy today. he has picked up some leaks in the transmission, rear main seal, selector seal and an oil leak from the timing cover. i am getting ever closer to just putting my spare reco engine in and rebuilding this funked one up.
