Nope. The N/A Auto starter is the same as the turbo, but most N/A are manual and the manual starter is most definitely not the same as the auto/turbo one.EA-73-XA wrote:i like this idea....
Starter motors are the same turbo and N/A

Thermostat temp ratings
Hey again guys. I recently stumbled upon a 92-degree (centigrade) thermostat for the E series engine, I'm currently running an 88 degree unit. Are there any benefits of running a higher temperature thermostat such as that one? I've never seen such a high temperature rating before, I wonder why they ...

Gearbox grinding noise
Hey there guys. I've got a problem with my gearbox: I hear a grinding, sometimes knocking sound at idle. And it disappears as soon as I push the clutch pedal. The sound may change or disappear when I disengage and re-engage the clutch. Could I be looking at a worn down input shaft bearing as a resul...

The only good bodykit for the N12 is the stock ET bodykit IMO, it's a shame that they didn't manufacture these anywhere else than Australia. I'm planning to get myself a full (Australian) ET bodykit. If you want to get yourself an Australian standard ET bodykit, one idea could be to collaborate and ...

Anybody remember who owned this car?
I stumbled upon this car when I was looking for a parts car for my E15ET project. IIRC I've seen the car at this forum, but I can't find the thread. Perhaps it has been deleted and the user account removed? Not going to buy that N12 for parts though; the owner has put too much hard work on it. It's ...

Pics are definitely a good idea for visual verification, I agree. 8) I think we should have enough forum members from outside Australia to be able to sort out those issues. I think Martin (boosted) knows quite a bit of the European E15ET configuration, for example. grunertee probably knows somethin...

Currently I'm hunting CA18ET or CA18DET engine. I bought B11 diesel and if I'm right, I can use power train from that straight to do conversion. At least the engine mounts will turn out to be useful, the CD engine series is a diesel version of the CA engine series. Not sure about the rest. Sounds l...
