Starter motors are the same turbo and N/A
Nope. The N/A Auto starter is the same as the turbo, but most N/A are manual and the manual starter is most definitely not the same as the auto/turbo one.

It's in Finnish, but they don't have a translated version. I'm sorry about that! here's the full spare parts listing for the N12: http://kauppa.motonet.fi/motonet/renderProductList.jsp?vehicleGroup=351&year=-1 and the thermostat itself: http://kauppa.motonet.fi/motonet/tuotteet/306014/1 Nothing ...

Thermostat temp ratings

Hey again guys. I recently stumbled upon a 92-degree (centigrade) thermostat for the E series engine, I'm currently running an 88 degree unit. Are there any benefits of running a higher temperature thermostat such as that one? I've never seen such a high temperature rating before, I wonder why they ...

Yes, it does actually go more or less away when the gearbox gets hot. So how do I adjust the endfloat preload, and what exactly is that?

Gearbox grinding noise

Hey there guys. I've got a problem with my gearbox: I hear a grinding, sometimes knocking sound at idle. And it disappears as soon as I push the clutch pedal. The sound may change or disappear when I disengage and re-engage the clutch. Could I be looking at a worn down input shaft bearing as a resul...

Hm. Have you adjusted your TPS correctly? If the gas pedal feels like a rubber ball when you push it from low rpm, my guess is the engine is getting too little fuel. Correct me if I'm wrong guys.

The only good bodykit for the N12 is the stock ET bodykit IMO, it's a shame that they didn't manufacture these anywhere else than Australia. I'm planning to get myself a full (Australian) ET bodykit. If you want to get yourself an Australian standard ET bodykit, one idea could be to collaborate and ...

Anybody remember who owned this car?

I stumbled upon this car when I was looking for a parts car for my E15ET project. IIRC I've seen the car at this forum, but I can't find the thread. Perhaps it has been deleted and the user account removed? Not going to buy that N12 for parts though; the owner has put too much hard work on it. It's ...

That's true E, but IMO forum searching takes time because it yields a lot of unwanted results due to the massive amount of posts and threads at this here forum. Or perhaps I'm just incompetent...

Pics are definitely a good idea for visual verification, I agree. 8) I think we should have enough forum members from outside Australia to be able to sort out those issues. I think Martin (boosted) knows quite a bit of the European E15ET configuration, for example. grunertee probably knows somethin...

Currently I'm hunting CA18ET or CA18DET engine. I bought B11 diesel and if I'm right, I can use power train from that straight to do conversion. At least the engine mounts will turn out to be useful, the CD engine series is a diesel version of the CA engine series. Not sure about the rest. Sounds l...
