I think they get installed with a large blind rivet, thats what ones on my Starion were installed with before I have them removed and filled, back in the day....

Also the roof of the ET and Exa is very flimsy, I'd be sceptical about loading it with any sort of weight.

BTW, +1 what Evan was saying about all that weight hanging off unbraced; I'm pretty sure the ehaust wouldn't brace it well at all, but make some loads on the manifold even worse.

... the cool thing about strokers is they get more cubes out of a smaller engine, saving a bit of weight over a larger donk/tranny.

its to keep the weight transfered over the front wheels, by stopping the rear end from "squating"..... they also help with stability at very high mph as bjorn's car would see.

... looks? I've seen a few FWD vehicles with wheelie bars, and always wondered why they have them. i think more to the point they are designed to stop weight transfer to the rear on a front wheel drive so to keep more weight down on the front wheels for more traction.
