Mate fuck it if it's a shit paint job or not, they did they damage, make them pay. It's cock suckers like this that make everyone of us with cars not worth a pinch of shit, not want to take out insurance. Have you got any close ups of the area from before the car went in. If they're prepared to pay ...

Insurance
After Paul W's experience I thought I'd throw it out there to see how many of us are going to find ourselves in the same place at some stage. Thousands of dollars spent on shit boxes that you can't insure for any more than a thousand bucks. At some stage with all the fuck knuckle, head up their arse...

Just look at ETT's Exa in the For Sale, great mods but no one will pay anything near what they're worth. Either love doing the car up and keep it or strip it and try and get something for the parts. Pretty close to doing that myself, we have a car mob in Canberra that does minimum $3000 trade in on ...

No, I think I will have to revisit the whole wiring issue as from memory there are no safegaurds in the way of fuses and relays since running the battery to the boot, only the one at the battery location. Wiring is a mess so it's going to be a bigger job than me I'm afraid. Unless I decide to offloa...

Yeah, they'd only have to look at my wiring and mods and any chance of a warranty would be right out the window. I've asked them questions before and they get very defensive of their products, particularly when someone is questioning their quality. Right now I have to figure out why this is happenin...

Further to above, I've just changed the coil in number 3 firing position that overheated to position 1 and got spark there so the coil is fine, I've probably killed the x4 again. It's got me fucked why there is not some type of inline fuse or something that prevents this happening. Anyway that's ano...

Glen Almost certainly its overheated. Id be checking your coil duty (dwell) Those coils should have 3.5Ms make sure its set to Dwell, not Duty. Cheers Oracle Just hooked the laptop up with ingnition on but motor not running, Microtech Screen 31: Setup says DWELL = Duty Cycle 8.57aS. Does this make ...

Fuck these cars, just about to put it on the market. After we played with bridging the new coil to one of the others and cranking it with no difference and then another, we thought we'd better stop while I still had one working cylinder. Sent the x4 off to Microtech where they replaced 3 blown drive...

Are you running a single coil with the Microtech or a x4. Having exactly the same symptoms without the compression issue running x 4, one coil died last week and it appears to have sent a surge or something to the shit Microtech x4 and blown that igniter. Damo did some testing for me on Friday night...
