it could be the thermostate or water pump as well radiator could do with a flush to see but if it still heats up a bit id change the thermostate if that dont fix it you know it will be the water pump itself

Likely overheating causes?

Thinking I need to flush my radiator, but before I pull it out, is there something else that's likely to cause overheating? And if radiator flushing is the go, is there a way to DIY effectively, or should I take it to someone to get it ...

general parts? (thermostat)

... is busted, was very hopeful that it was just the cable or the contacts but I have continuity at both ends. Started the car after replacing the radiator, ran fine but the temp gauge didn't move an inch (or even a mm). As I eluded to in another post, I'm mainly a motorbike person, so I'm a little ...

Strange, I have a single 10" fan pulling from the passengers side. I dont have any overheating issues using the stock ET radiator. Now, my stock guage goes right to 3/4 BEFORE the fan switches on. However, I know this is only 90deg.C via the coolant temp indication on the ECU diagnostics. ...

... about it... What amazes me most is that it was ever on the road. Anyway My next problem....LOL With where the engine sits... and putting in the ET radiator, Plus with a not so good downpipe (that touched the radiator in the donor) There is no or little room for a fan. So a while ago, I manages ...

... and square. Assuming you have used coolant and not plain water then the boiling point of the coolant will be above 100 deg.C UNpressurised. Most radiator caps are usually set to bleed off at or around 13psi and this elevates the boiling point of PLAIN water to 125 deg.C So if it had a half bad ...

running lean after turbo upgrade and overheating

bit of a saga, but here goes. after fitting the repaired radiator and a new turbo equivalent to a high flowed t28 (up from a t28 with t25 backhousing), i took the car to return a radiator on the other side of the city. It didn't show any signs of overheating ...

I hate that!!!! (Oil everywhere....)

There have been a few different radiator installs.
I used a Honda Prelude (late 80's wedge shaped car) radiator in my GX for a long time.
I had to mod the top hose connection and fabricate lower brackets.
