benefit of bigger leads??
hi all
just wondering how much benefit ill get from bigger leads, say 10mm leads instead of the 8. I will be running about 18-20psi of boost, and i run 4 bosch mec717 coils. (mtech full sequential set up)
should i bother upgrading, is it worth the money or should i stick to the 8mm top gun leads.

Re: boost gauge problem
I have only got a t2 on my car with a bov nothing over the top but i keep on blowing the hose on the back of the boost gauge to bits. Have replaced it with new hose and still no joy. Does this mean i have too much boost for the standard gauge? what sort of line are you using, the black rubber hose,...

The old MT/LT8 wont run multi-coils. You need to have the MTX/LTX8 series computer to run milti-coils. . couldn't be more wrong mate. the x only symbolises internal ignitors. so you didn;t need to run an external ignitor like a bosch unit. But now microtech dont even use internal ignitors, as in no...

Re: MT8 multi coil setup
ring mazfix, i have heard that they still work on the mt8's. you will need them to configure it for 4 outputs and buy the external ignitor boxkid nismo wrote:Hey guys, does anybody know if the Microtech mt8 unit is capable of running a multi coil setup like the ltx - 8.

Yeh i think its mazfix that sell the microtech external ignitor for only 100 bucks, which is fucken cheap (microtech sell them for $150 which is still cheap). pretty sure you can use it for a wasted spark set up. Im currently using one , very neat and easy to use. You'll find doing the loom from the...

ah cool, thanx for that panda . . . .so basically, a t25g on a 1.5 liter engine, is gonna be fine for the turbo, its gonna be a harder life 4 the turbo on a 2 liter engine and even more so on a three liter engine. so a T25G on a small engine like the E15ET should be able to last years running 16-18...

Re: Microtech MT8 series 2 setup for Ford Falcon V6 1994
Hey guy, am I able to re-program the Microtech MT8 series 2 (which was program for the V6 falcon) to suit the ET with the digi-tech controller? I've heard you will need to flush the unit from mircotech. Is this true? Cheers. i think mazfix still flash the ecu's but probably not worth it. look out f...

Looking good Angel, are you getting Matt Spry to tune it again? with out a doubt, cant rate him more highly. you should check him out sometime, he might be able to squeeze more out of your engine I don't have any plans for the car for quite a while, just some slicks later in the year... further dow...

Damn!!! dude that is awesome! White on white looks great. The wheels suit it well. I am very impressed with the touch screen set up. Whats the next step with the engine? yeh i like white one white too. The next step is to fully run in the engine. Then hook up my surge tank, install my new cooler, i...
