I get it ! I read your explanation and doing the circuit diagram in my head it suddenly became crystal clear.

I still don't get it.
My cable connects to the standard wireing loom where the old battery used to connect. I'm fairly sure the standard system has a main battery fuse in it. So why do I need another? This would make two fuses in parrallel. I don't get it. I agree there needs to be a fuse. I agree you shouldn't run direc...

More,
Only half your message was up when I first looked. To address your other concerns. DC current will not cause the same problems as AC current in coiled wires. To have the EMI/EMC effect you refer to the current needs to be alternating. Thats why you should ALWAYS uncoil an extension cord before use. ...

Shorts
Hey Ben, From how I read that he put in a new power line to a stereo. I would have a fuse on that line. But reading on, he then crushed it with a seat rail, sounds like the installation was a little poor. I beleive the Exa/ET has a main power fuse and by moving the battery you should ensure you don'...

Fuse?
I have relocated my battery to the back seat of my Exa (no seats installed). I haven't used an extra fuse because I figure the car comes with fuses and I'm not changing the circuit or adding much load (less that 2m of very large wire, much bigger than the standard). With that said its been this was ...

A Brake experts advice
This is a discussion from a guy called Steve Gavin, he's a brake engineer. I think I've post this a few times already, but it's a good read so . . . . THIS IS JUST GENERIC INFO, NOT FOR ANY SPECIFIC VEHICLE. Pedal Feel Contributors:................ First some quick definitions: Brake Pedal ratio is ...

More . . .
Hey Jon replied an isn't sure about the 15's, he now leans on them fitting . . . Now waiting for the answer to the booster question. I think psi999 is close to the money. For everyday use the standard EXA and ET setups are fine. The vented disc doesn't improve the braking capability, it allows for m...

Disc Size
Found some more info. The disc size was 276 x 26mm.
There was no comment on the Booster, so I'd guess it's a standard one.

Jon only said "he thought 15's wouldn't fit...." I don't know if he'd tried it. I've just sent him an email to see if he did in the end.

A mitsubishi option . . .
Hi Guys, Jon (with the sr20 ET) used a Mitsubishi combination for his brake set up. Here's a summary of how he described it to me in an email a few years back: It's using a machined N12 hub assy. The disc is from a VR4 galant. The caliper is found on Lancer Evo's, Verada Magna's & Pajero's..... ...

Rear Suspension
We've had similar discussions to these before. There has been at least one man successfully converter his rear to coil-overs. He described the cost as 'quite a bit'. Thats Bjorn from HOtWok racing. The other way to do it is to make an adjustable platform for the current location. "hotBits' in D...

I had dealings with KMac a few years back over camber plates for a Starion I owned. In short I wouldn't recommend dealing with them.

Sway bar diameters
Hi Ben, Just having a read of you post and thought I should mention some things. The diameter of a sway bar is only part of the equation when considering it's influence on roll stiffness of a car. The other major factor is the length of the 'lever' that twists the torsion element. If this lever leng...
