or "Green/red stripe" and "Green/yellow stripe" going to the hazard light switch

(easiest to connect, just pull out the switch, carefully pull some more wire out, connect (use soldering), protect (use heat shrink tubing or double taping))

you did clean it properly?

check for warpness with a straight steel ruler and feeler blades ?

didn't crack the block( oil/water in bolt hole, bolt in wrong place?)

what you can do though, is mark the location of the ring gear on the chassis of the GB

engaging the bendix device,(i.o.w while testing the starter) mark the pinion gear location on the starter chassis.

then just align the marks when assembling

but like E said, you need to test it first

you can also use brake cleaner or start pilot to find air leaks. just spray either on any joints or gaskets and if revs rise you have found a leak

the new exhaust manifold is still sitting atop a shelf at my garage, but did the battery to boot to make more space for air filter and washer bottle.

oh, and i did put the factory skirt set on

too busy with other projects and i got all winter to work on that.
