replaced the inlet manifold gasket today with hopes that it would fix my idle problem, and it looks like it has. But HOLY F*CK was it a shitty job. I know nearly everyone here has done it before. But with my back I can't stay leaning over the car for too long. The bolts underneath the runners on the ...

somehow, randomly lost my idle today. Haven't been playing around with anything lately that could affect it, put some new spotlights on her is the only thing. But now my idle is sitting around 600 when cold, 900 when warm, when it was 1050-1100 and that was perfect. Because of the idle being low now...

So, i had used 15 litres of fuel, and travelled 410 ks Get Damo to tune your car, it does ...

I just wanted to give a quick thank you to Damo for the awesome work he has done on my beast. filled the tank on Friday night, all 35 litres of it, drove to Aroona on the sunshine coast and back, and used a total of 14 litres for 410 km. It works out to 3.41l/100km. I know that sounds impossible, bu...

i know the rear shocks are busted, but they have been for so long and i have never had this problem, so i figured that it was not them, as it is a new problem. As for the tyres, i stopped at a servo as soon as i figured out what was going on, and they were all on 32-36 so i knocked 40 into them and ...

A break like that makes me think of two things

1. It was poorly cast when it was made. If so, just the tension and force of the timing belt on it pushing against the bolts could have pushed it to breaking point
2. It has been rubbing on something for quite some time and has finally let go

i cant say that I have seen many cases of this happening on the forum. you said you fitted it, How long ago? could you have possibly over tightened it? did anything get in there, like a stick or rock? I know it sounds weird, but I have seen it happen. 4 km with no oil pressure to the head would have...

Rear Brakes

Just wondering if anyone has had this trouble with their rear brakes on the ET before. last week or so i thought my handbrake as sticking in the mornings on my first drive of the day. Would usually get 30 secs down the road with what felt like the handbrake slightly on on the left rear wheel and the...
