I made a video , you can compare it to this if you want to know how big a difference it made to replace the valve stem seals. The seals were leaking badly, and the E15 wasn't designed to combust oil. Engine runs better each day and judging by the spark plugs it really does clean up on the ins...

I'd say light grey, slightly lighter than the original paint.. would match the rims as well as the headlights. :)

Replaced the valve stem seals (using the method described in this article ), turns out the old ones were rock hard. No wonder the engine was consuming oil, a liter per 1000 kilometers. http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc119/TurboZBuzz/Engine/N12_2012-08-24_2944.jpg http://i213.photobucket.com/albu...

Well, now it's done! I replaced the valve stem seals! :D The old valve stem seals were hard as solid rock and they were leaking, a lot! Photos coming soon to my members rides thread. I haven't seen a single bit of blue smoke coming out of the exhaust after I replaced the seals, except of course for ...

What E said. Make sure the actuators are lined up as best you can. I'd even make brackets to position them in line if they were needed. Thanks Jay! I actually did that, using the brackets that came with the kit. There was no other way to attach them either because there isn't just enough flat space...

Alright, the kit arrived! And delivery time was 2 weeks minus one day, more than a week faster than last time I ordered something from China! Going to start fitting the kit today or tomorrow, have you got any tips for placement of the actuators? The kit didn't come with any manual but a DIY guy does...

Replacing valve stem seals

Hey guys, I'm thinking about replacing the valve stem seals myself. I read this article , but I'm worried about whether the presented method of keeping the valves from falling into the cylinders is completely safe or not. Another thought; is it really safe to put a spanner underneath the rocker rail...

The intake manifold had to be replaced because the PCV elbow pipe was leaking at the intake manifold and that pipe is attached to the intake manifold by heat expansion so once it had come off I wasn't able to make it seal again. Fuel economy was getting very poor as a result. I also cleaned up the e...
