Re: PLS Help!

maybe i'm annoying people already, but again i would say it is the typical symptom for a faulty cam angle sensor. Have you replaced the whole distributor? Can you rule out it wasn't also a faulty one? Not that many parts have the such a predicable, time(~temperature) depending behaviour when failing...

Even if you fit OS pistons, your still going to have to fit new rings so...yer. I have the full 0,5mm oversize-set lying here, i.e. pistons and rings :-) Re-ringing a used engine and pussy-footing around "running it in" can result in glazed bores very quickly and incessant crankcase blowb...

Thanks E, thats interesting. Yes, the spare engine is still apart and i will take a closer look at the oil rings when i'm in the garage again. It seems a set of rings would set me back nearly the amount i would have to pay for boring and honing the block. As i have a set of oversize pistons lying ar...

If stock e15et ecu gets a signal that throttle valve is at idle position despite that throttle is actually depressed and valve opened, revs seems to be limited to about 3000 rpm. Had this problem due to a miswiring (when swapping E13 -> E15ET). It took some time to find the fault and tried many oth...

The plastic cover just prises off. Inside are a set of points and Im guessing they have dust/oil/crud on them. Dont file them. They carry no current, just clean them. I usually just pass some thin cardboard thru things like that to rub off any crud and then thoroughly blow the points clean. Oracle ...

TPS disassembly

hey guys, i found out, that i can get rid of this pesky hesitation i have on throttle off/on transistions, just by disconnecting the tps. when measuring its resistance, the idle contact never gives a nice clear signal step as it should at the switching point, but changes from high to low resistance ...
