I wished i hadn't trown away all the E15S parts in the past
Back then i didn't know how much could be used on the E15ET also...

I don't have the time to investigate too much into detail, so maybe you have some ideas:

There was a writeup in the internet about fitting VW (or similar) inserts to the B11/N12 struts, but i cant find it anymore

hey,
the ET dampers have higher damping rates for both directions.

I always thought the gas type are the better ones.
This must noch be true, as i read a some time ago...

Fuck that, you can buy a vrs kit for almost that. I had a quick squiz on ebay, but there doesn't seem to be anything cheapish that fits my search criteria. i wanted to know if it was feasible to remove the upholstery from the fiberboard without destroying it.
if there is a great chance of destroying it, i would stick with the old one and try to reinforce it.
