Line up your timing marks on the top pulley, making sure that the key way in the end of camshaft is pointing upwards towards the timing mark on cover. ... rings, bearings etc and get the head re-conditioned, debating whether to get it ported and polished or not... any opinions? And using standard camshaft as in my last car i had a stage 2 camtech cam and with the standard ecu it ran like a dog.

another thing is to make sure, once you have the belt on, to turn the camshaft pulley 2 teeth clockwise before you push the tensioner up against the belt and tighten it. this makes sure you have correct tension on both sides of the belt.
