Thanks Baz I'll strip out the rear and get a mate to hose the car on the weekend, there are definately multiple leaks both in the boot and around the doors. Replacing the door seals would probably be a good start wouldn't it?

that was my first thought, however I resealed them, and the moisture seems to be getting in higher than the tail light seals would allow, and also going almost the entire way around the boot

The 2 month drama free run came to an end, with what turned out to be the alternator slowly dying and the grounding wire not being connected properly, cheap fixes thankfully. Also the O-ring on injector 4 needs replacing, as well as new spark plugs and oil when i have money :/

So the exa's been leaking in the boot somewhere, and i have siliconed up every little crack, taken off the boot rubber and cleaned everywhere but it still leaks alot. the car is also leaking from somewhere inside the cabin, causing the carpet to be wet beneath the front seats/passenger footwell. the manifold flange is warped, although the dump is secured to the rear engine mount and with a 20cm piece of flexipipe too. replaced the passenger cv last night which was fun... getting a new gt28 copy next wednesday after pay day and a stock manifold, this time for real as the middle manifold bolt...

it's now getting a new turbo, a chinese copy gt28 as per the one i put on my ET, and a stock manifold. just discovered tonight that one of the manifold bolts had blown out in addition to the warped flange
