Short stroke/high rev E16?

The E16 engine uses the same rod length as an E15 so in fact, it becomes a "stock standard" engine with GA pistons. Why would anyone use odd pistons when stock pistons are available and cheap. "CA too hard to run on carbs because it has no dissie"......... What ...

Short stroke/high rev E16?

I seen a post from years ago of someone who said they put together a "long rod" E16 using a E16 crank, E15 rods, and GA16DE pistons. Anybody try this? I'm putting together a N/A build, working on bike carbs right now. Want to be able to spin it out a good bit more than the stock ...

Turboing E16i block?

Yip, :-) they are Japan-made and were specified for the USA-E15ET engine (pulsar nx) I compared them to the Nissan OEM EUR-spec pistons, see photo. 20180620_190709k.jpg The design and the main dimensions are basically the same, only the witdth of the crown ring seems to differ a bit. I ...

Turboing E16i block?

... enough. Though your E16 info is interesting, I will only use the block(and that only because of the low mileage) - the rest, like crankshaft and pistons, will be E15ET parts. I was very lucky to find a set of std-size E15ET pistons on the internet incl. rings (sorry guys, it was the last set ...

Turboing E16i block?

... be drilled and inserted with a return pipe. I don't recall if the E16 has this or not, but I would imagine it would be a shared trait. As for the pistons, you may need to be careful what you do, because there is 3mm extra stroke from the crank, and adding the turbo slugs 'may' send the crowns ...

Turboing E16i block?

... the E15S block. I reckon its because the E16i may have a knock sensor. Any other ideas where they could differ? Or can i just throw in the turbo-pistons and im good to go? Second, please help me thinking: Whats the difference between e15 N/A and turbo block? Only the turbo oil supply is coming ...

IIRC the only difference in CA18 blocks is the oil jets for pistons. (CA18S doesn't have, CA18DE doesn't have, CA18DET has,)

So far so good :) Still have to make the intake and get the carbs ready but that will have to wait for when I have more free time. ...

... a quick reving engine!). But the best combo (in my opinion) would be the NA E15 rods in a E16 block with E16 crank. Top them with some GA16 pistons, they will need flycuts to clear the valves, and you have your 10:1+ compression. The chambers on the E16 head will potentially give a better ...

Anywhere which sells the oversize pistons should have them.
This isn't an issue in Australia.
