Oracle to the rescue again. and a big face/palm from me. I had forgotten about the runners... So with that out of the way... my next question would be, does anyone have a complete standard Aus inlet with runners/injectors? Since I would then be able to give that to the fabricator to make up the 'sti...

intake manifold options
I've been going through the forums and even back through the old Exa forums... looking for an inlet manifold for the short block E15ET I have that I hope to shoehorn into my s-cargo. I'm seeing Jap-spec and EGI bandied about but both seem ridiculously hard to get a hold of. I was leaning towards the...

I've thought about this quite a lot as well, given the grunt available in a lot of the all in one solutions available now, it's definitely do-able. Issue is the time involved and the other options already out there... Megasquirt instantly comes to mind, given the number of revisions it is now up to,...

holy thread revival Batman. Figured I'd bump this since I just ran across this 'fun' today. Manual for N/A version does state timing @ 5° ATDC when dizzy vac line disconnected It is 5° BTDC when vac line is connected . Which is the mark to the left of the 0° timing mark (counter clockwise when looki...

replacement engine mounts
hopefully a nice simple one... chasing replacement engine mounts I looked through Nolethane site but couldn't find any listing for Exa or Pulsar... part numbers or sources would be mucho appreciated. Oh and I don't want solid mounts... (obviously for my S-Cargo but figure I can use the ET ones since...

IT'S ALIVE! turned over after the 2nd turn of the key... I did discover one thing while I was putting it back together. The new ARP stud that is located in front of cylinder 3... it's sitting proud and preventing access, so I couldn't get a spark plug socket into the hole. I am sure I double checked...

just so I don't tear the threads out of the block, verify my logic... I should torque the studs up to the normal values given in the workshop manual and use loctite stud locker when installing them. Then torque down the nuts to the same value as the workshop manual. edit: hmmm, actually now that I t...

Unbolt the starter so you can sprag the starter ring gear with a big fuckoff screwstick and tighten the bolt to spec. HA! I've said it once... and I'll say it again... This site is awesome. I couldn't think of an easy way to get at the flywheel end of the engine without removal... starter motor, of...

Just reading through the thread in the articles about replacement head studs... http://forum.n12turbo.com/viewtopic.php?t=6790 Now, at the moment I have head bolts... reading this through makes it sound like this is a conversion to studs and nuts. Am I reading that correctly? Just want to understand...

will have to be a mishmash. can't get at the flywheel teeth as the engine is still in the car. can't put it in 3rd cos it's an auto :P will bung it in D and see how I go, if all else fails I'll do what I did for the water pump pulley, a pair of decent vice grips combine with some soft jaws (3mm MDF)...
