I tested the coil correctly and it was displaying between and 11 and 12 volts.
The circuit breakers were relays...

I gave my other distributor a good clean, installed it and the car started

Thanks for the help fellas. A couple of questions, -If the CAS had failed, wouldn't the coil still be showing a voltage reading? -Above the fuse box there are some circuit breakers. Are they reset a certain way? or, let's say there is a shorting somewhere, would the circuit breaker reset itself when...

I took out and checked every fuse, tried turning the car on and it started. I left it running for 10mins, switched it off and then when I tried to turn it on again it wouldn't start. I didn't touch anything while it was running. Very strange... I haven't got a spare battery to try, but it is reading...

I tested the spark by holding it with some insulated pliers just above the rocker cover and getting a friend to start the car - I tested all spark plugs. I worked backwards from there... I can't seen anything obviously unplugged in the reverse light loop. I can see two fuseable links in the engine bay (one is green and one is grey) I swapped them over from my donor car - still no luck. I will check the fuse box and the larger square fuses on the weekend. Thanks for your help!

Just a quick question. I am in need of a new fuel pump, are there any cross over fuel pumps from other makes/models that you have had success with?
