All you need to do now is remove the overboost valve (thing next to throttlebody) and plug up the hole.. then turn up the boost a little .. maybe 11-12 psi. (not worthing running more with standard turbo) I think with that overboost valve that you can't run more than 9psi boost.

Yes.. this must use premium fuel.
My JDM Import one says to use 97octane in the fuel filler.. and fuel in Japan is way better quality than we get in Australia or NZ

Is it possible that the factory overboost valve could leak?

The reason I ask is that when under full power, my boost guage flickers.. reads approx 7psi, but its flickering, so could be anywhere between 6.5-7.5psi.. what could cause this? I have replaced the boost guage and have the same result.. is it possible that its from that overboost valve thing on inta...

I discovered its boost guage.. as when cars off it doesn't sit at 0.. it sits at about -7psi roughly.. so when it was reading 0 psi it was prob pulling 7 psi.. i pulled the guage apart.. and managed to get the needle to sit on 0.. (after alot of pissing around) just tried it on the car now.. and rev...

On the last car it had a factory boost guage, so i just connected it on to where that was connected.. however this car had no factory boost guage, i found something on the intake manifold that vaccum hose fits on, it had a cap on it, I just tried connecting it onto that, it measures the IHG thing pr...

Installing boost Gauge

Today i've been "trying" to install one of these. I connected it onto one of the connections on the throttlebody, (using T connector). Then took car for a drive, and under full power was reading 0 psi boost.. The needle flicks up and down when you rev the engine. short of the guage being f...

Blew the headgasket recently, heres a pic of what happened to it. What would usually cause it to happen like this? http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/4647/headgasketip3.th.jpg After getting the car backtogether I did a quick 0-130k run, wasn't really thrashing it.. but I think it went ok, heres a vi...

Yeah it went hard for a short time, until it ran a bearing, my mate didn't bother fixing it, sadly he sold all the parts off and at the time I had no money to buy them, doh!.

Is a factory turbo from a RB30ET a good upgrade?

Currently have factory crappy T2, all I know about this RB30ET turbo is that it says 0.48 on it and Garret, anyone know what actual size these are?
