AFM relo is over rated IMO, I did it 3 weeks ago and the car had no noticable gains :?: :?: :?:

I've heard polishing etc can actually reduce efficient fuel mixing due to laminar air flow, an old wives tale I bet....

Flow + pressure = :D :D :D :D

The guys will correct me if I am wrong, but the idle switch being refered to is actually the TPS "Sensor" (It's an on off switch). I have run mine with it not even plugged in do I doubt the TPS will be your issue. If you can swing a generous amount of beer my way I could come and examine y...

That's exactly how I was thinking of it damo. The saving grace is the ECU obviously doesn't require the AFM for boost enrichment. It makes me a lil worried I am running my car on 10 PSI and the poor lil ECU only knows about standard 6.5 PSI being blown into it. Would be quite interesting to observe ...

I'm wondering how the ECU knows to put the right fuel in at a given pressure, I'm fairly certain the boost sensor is for the gauge only (as most people don't even have them)

Sorry but I have to laugh! This mod just so you can have questionable compressor surge? I am actually suprised this even works reliably considering the AFM is designed to measure (roughly) the flow of un compressed air. It really does point out the interesting way in which nissan calculates the Air ...

It is best to have the O2 sensor, you can live without the temp sensor easily enough. The theory of the O2 is the trim your A/F (air fuel ratio) on light throttle cruise such as 60km's in 4/5th or at 100 kph in 5th. This will give optimum fuel efficiency for your engine hence why alot of people get ...

Thanks Pete, thought it might be the cause. As for the Profec B I'll keep that in mind as at some stage I'll be looking to go electronic. N12sumfin: When I did the AFM relo, the Boost controller pipes stayed the same: Fitting on compressor housing ------> Boost T ------> Actuator. (check valve the r...

i had a Turbosmart boost tee previously and it was shit! spiked all over the shop!
Yeah I really think it is the boost T which is the problem, thing is, it worked perfectly before I did the AFM relocation.

Yeah replaced the pop off valve with a bung. It's a genuine Turbosmart Boost T which has a stainless ball and spring valve. I have now made it boost up to 12 PSI and it quickly bleeds back to 10 PSI, still feels like the punch has been taken away. It will do though, I'm building up another engine so...
