What turbo have i got??
hey guys, im just wondering if someone can help me figure out what turbo i have, all that i know about it is that it has a compressor housing of A/R .53 and and exhaust housing of .47, and has garret gt17 written on it my other question is would i be suitable as a replacement on my n12 ?? any help g...

Looks really tidy. Im keen on more pix too! il hopefully have some more up tonight of the car and my progress to taking the motor out lol :lol: shit man, looks tops............ love the smoothed bonnet and cowel under the windscreen. doors look a lot better than mine do too it does look good there ...

Are you sure oil is not coming from rocker box rubber seal. Mine leaked there and you can't see it on the ally but it settles on the exhaust manifold. Gasket on exhaust manifold is prob leaking gases and it will blow the oil as if the oil is comming out the engine. im pretty certain it's not coming...

the oil is not so much pouring down the block but is running down it yeschezza wrote:Oil in turbo air pipes suggest turbo is buggered.
As for oil in exhaust , is the oil wet and running down block ?
I think valve stem seals.

i have checked and the leak itself is coming from the joint where the turbo housing meets the manifold so i assume it means a new gasket well i hope that's it also another question when i remove the oil cap whilst the car is running should the car stall doesn't seem right to me or do they pressurise...
