yeah baz,i like the idea of putting a plate between the turbo flange for the wastegate. since my setup is high mount ,i'd have to check for clearance .

oh my bad, that wasnt the only reason i wanted to go external gate.
i think it looks good in the engine bay and they perform well.
the wastegate i have is anoized blue , it matches everything in my engine bay. plus u dont see many ET's running external gates,and the flutter

the set up i have now with the internal wastegate is shit. i got a t25g turbo off a sr20 rwd engine,and after turning the rear housing for it to fit on my fwd manifold. theres no holes in the cold side of the turbo for the internal gate to mount to. so i made up a braket out of sheet metal for now. ...

heys guys, ive got a hi mount turbo set up on my e15t motor .
its a stock cast iron manifold. just wondering if any1 has put a external gate on there stock et manifold and was it any hassle?
and what price roughly would be acceptable to pay?
